Dr Jeanine Marnewick of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s Medical Research Council (MRC) PROMEC unit said, "We have been investigating the effect of Rooibos on various kinds of cancer for years and have been able to prove the benefits of Rooibos in preventing or slowing down different kinds of cancer".

Her team researched the effects of six cups of Rooibos tea taken a day, for six weeks, by healthy volunteers. She has seen that Rooibos elevated blood glutathione, the body’s own “super antioxidant”, by 100%. Glutathione reduces the risk of cancer (and also possibly other lifestyle diseases).

In 2000 Annique launched Super Rooibos6, 6 capsules which boasts the benefit equal to six cups of Rooibos tea per day. MORE
